What The 5 Beep

This Tech Tips video explains what 5 beep means and how to fix

Five beeps indicate that the motor is attempting to spin but is encountering an obstruction, preventing it from fully retracting. This could be caused by issues like blocked linkage on the rods or something caught in the device. Additionally, if the motor spins and then releases without completing the retraction, it could be due to insufficient amperage in the power supply.

To fix five beeps, first check for any physical obstructions, such as misaligned linkage, vertical rods, or debris blocking the mechanism. Ensure everything is properly connected and moving freely. If no obstruction is found, check the power supply’s amperage—if it’s too low, the motor won’t have enough power to retract and hold. Use a field tester to verify power delivery and adjust or replace the power supply if necessary. If needed, reset push-to-set.
