This Tech Tips video will show you how to properly install the MLRK1-JAC12 kit and backplate on Jackson 12 exit devices made after January 1st, 2025.
Step 1: Remove the push pad end cap by taking out all four screws.
Step 2: Slide the end cap over the nylon roller so that the roller fits between the gap in the end cap. Push the end cap down into position so the push pad cannot slide left or right. Tighten the screws.
Step 3: Push the push pad down, lift up the linkage, and slide everything until it stops. No centering is required.
Step 4: Use the provided ball tip Allen wrench to set and tighten all four black set screws. Let the push pad out to access and tighten the set screws securely
